Maintained or Momentary?
Cobra switch locks are available with different operating functions depending on how the electrical circuit needs to respond when the key is turned.
Maintained Operation
A maintained switch remains in the selected switch position after the key is turned. The switch state stays changed until the lock is intentionally returned to another position.
Momentary Operation
A momentary switch activates the electrical contact while the switch is being operated and then returns when the key is released or moved from the activation position.
Security Built Into the Switch
Cobra switch locks are built using many of the same security principles found in Cobra's mechanical lock products, giving equipment designers a keyed electrical control with additional physical-security features.
Cobra 7 switch locks can be assembled to a new lock code or integrated with an existing compatible lock-code requirement and are available with either maintained or momentary operation.
Built for Keyed Electrical Control
Cobra switch locks combine the lock cylinder, electrical switching function and connection terminals in one compact assembly.
4A / 125VAC
Published current rating for Cobra tubular and Cobra 7 switch-lock configurations.
2A / 250VAC
Additional published electrical rating for compatible Cobra switch-lock configurations.
Spade Terminals
Flat connection terminals provide a straightforward interface for switch wiring.
Keyed Operation
Electrical operation is controlled through the physical key and lock rather than an unrestricted switch.
A Familiar Double-Bitted Switch Lock
Cobra's Double-Bitted Switch Lock is designed around the industry-standard 2341 lock code and provides momentary-contact operation.
The lock uses two spade connections for electrical hookup and is supplied with two cut keys to the 2341 lock code.
